"Sugar and Spice and everything nice..." That is what this summer's debutant party is made of. Such a fun and original "candyland" theme.

Floral Trends for Summer 2014
Pantone may have dubbed 2014's color or the year "Radiant Orchid", but here in Cincinnati, it was all about blush, pink, peach, champagne, taupe, cream, white and gold!
Elegance and class are the buzzwords for summer 2014 with our Yellow Canary couples. Soft romantic colors with rich gold highlights.

Classy Casual: The Family Farm Wedding
This summer Yellow Canary had the pleasure to provide florals for an intimate family farm wedding. The beauty of this wedding is that the couple was able to maintain the informal theme without sacrificing class.
The following are a few shots we took ourselves (please forgive the darkness of a few shots. We hope for a few professional shots later).

Travels: Beaufort, South Carolina
Beaufort, South Carolina has been a Yellow Canary favorite for many years. It has the small town charm that seems written into a script, but is stylish and modern just the same. Some of the most progressive meals I have enjoyed have been served on Bay Street in Beaufort and one of the most beautiful beaches I have seen has been at Hunting Island, just outside of Beaufort.

The Century Plant
I had the lucky chance to be driving past Elizabeth on 37th in Savannah, Georgia while their Century Plant was in bloom. At first I thought this was a SUPER rare occasion, but after a little Wikipedia-search, I found that they live 10-30 years, not the 100 that I had thought.
According to Wikipedia, the Agave Americana, does only flower once, but in the 10 to 30 years of existence, it "throws" offshoots to perpetuate itself.
Regardless of the actual age of the plant, it is still an impressive sight!

Dreamy and Lush: Romantic Greenacres Wedding
Early June was VERY kind to couples in Cincinnati this year. Our recent wedding at GreenAcres could not have been a more perfect day. There was just enough chill in the air and everything was fresh and crisp. The vision for the wedding was dreamy, lush gardens; timeless romance and mother nature agreed with the plan giving the couple a brilliant blue sky to complement the floral arch Yellow Canary constructed for the couple's vows.
The reception tent was a romantic, lush space with soft pinks, vintage lace, and candlelight. Cozy round tables were interspersed with rustic farm tables making the space have a unified, elegant feel.
The bride chose to have a different bouquet for each of her attendants- below are a few of them waiting before ceremony.
This event was designed by the fabulous Viva Bella Events and Catered by Jeff Thomas Catering , stationary by Poeme, cake my Maribelle Cakery, lighting by Goodwin Lighting, video by Studio 213 Films and photographed by Michael Bambino & co.
