Throwback Style: Romeo and Juliet
The 1968 film "Romeo and Juliet" spawned a trend of Shakespearean inspired wedding dresses in the last 1960's and early 1970's. The film, however tragic, kindled dreams of romance and lace.
Empire waist and poet sleeves were center stage for many bridal parties of the era. The long, trailing, veils are also a nod to this popular film and style.
